Supachok Sarachat is back to where it began for him. But come 19:00 this evening, the former Thunder Castle academy graduate won’t don Buriram United’s famous navy blue.
Instead, he’s part of the Consadole Sapporo squad taking on the seven-time Thai League champions in the J. League Asia Challenge at the Chang Arena in Buriram, Thailand.
The 24-year-old is currently at the tale end of his six-month loan at Consadole Sapporo, where the scenario of him getting a contract extension and remaining at the club for another year is still feasible.
Last night, the Thailand national team playmaker was asked about his thoughts on coming back to face his former club and his future in Japan.
“I’m delighted to be back in Buriram once again,” shared Supachok. “I’ve been at Buriram United since I was an academy player and I’ve had the chance to break through to the first team and now be loaned out to Consadole Sapporo.
“Now that I’m back, I can only think of the old memories at this place.
“It’s a weird feeling, this is my first time playing against Buriram United.
“Regarding my future, it’s up to the board members of both clubs.”
This past 2022 J. League 1 season saw Supachok appear in seven games and record three assists. Although he’s been given a scarce amount of minutes, the attacker has performed his role well every time he’s given a chance.
Meanwhile, tonight’s match between Buriram United and Consadole Sapporo will also be a clash of the brothers, Supachok Sarachat and Suphanat Mueanta. The match will be televised on PPTV 36, kicking off at 19:00 local time.
